World Mental Health Day

10 Oct 2022

Today is World Mental Health Day and this year’s theme is Make mental health and wellbeing for all a global priority‘.

At GW Highways we treat mental health very seriously and we understand that many people who experience distress try to keep their feelings hidden because they are afraid of other people’s responses.

Mental health problems are all too common in the workplace and is the leading cause of sickness absence, with suicide being the biggest killer of those under 35 in the UK.

We encourage the action from the World Federation for Mental Health to prioritise reducing the factors known to pose a risk to people’s mental health and have donated to The Mental Health Foundation to help support their continued work on this overlooked illness!
